Hire Velocity Appoints Kurt Nielsen as Senior Director of National Sales

Hire Velocity, an outsourced provider of targeted recruiting support, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Nielsen to Senior Director of National Sales. Nielson brings more than twenty years of recruiting, sales and leadership experience to the role, with particular expertise in the professional services arena.

Most recently, Kurt served as the U.S. practice leader for the Finance & Accounting and Technology divisions for Korn Ferry/Futurestep. Previously, he held progressively responsible roles during his seven-year tenure at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, ultimately leading a team of 20 recruiters supporting more than 4,000 partners and staff across the Southeast region.

During his career, Nielsen has overseen the development of scalable recruiting solutions for clients in a range of sectors and geographies, including international placement. Working extensively with CEOs, senior executives and human resources professionals has given Nielsen a hands-on perspective on connecting people, process and technology for hiring success.

Nielsen’s experience includes director- and national-level roles at McKesson Corporation and System One, a technical staffing firm. His recruiting career began as the assistant soccer coach for the United States Military Academy at West Point, where a key responsibility was attracting talent and building relationships with prospective student athletes and their families. He graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
