Hire Velocity Executive John West to Speak at Florida Venture Capital Conference

FLVentureJohnWestIn January, 2015, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs will gather in Hollywood, Florida to discuss current issues in the fields of entrepreneurship, venture capital, and investing across a number of different industries and sectors. Hire Velocity Chairman John West has been selected to take part in a panel discussion focusing on advice for new entrepreneurs from seasoned, successful entrepreneurs. John’s experience is unique in that he has experience both as an entrepreneur himself and as an investor in several highly successful Florida-based companies, including Hire Velocity.

The conference will take place at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood, Florida on January 29 and 30. It will include a number of workshops, panel discussions, and special guest speakers. With more than 450 professionals in attendance, including more than 100 investor attendees, entrepreneurs will have excellent opportunities for networking and potential investment opportunities for their startups. Additionally, the conference will showcase 20 of Florida’s most successful high growth companies across a variety of industries and sectors.

The Florida Venture Forum is a statewide member organization that seeks to create connections between Florida entrepreneurs and capital sources. The organization offers educational resources to budding entrepreneurs about important topics such as management, finance, human resources, raising debt and equity capital, marketing, R&D and many more. To date, the annual conference has helped Florida entrepreneurs secure more than $3 billion in funding.

As a panelist at this year’s conference, John will offer a unique perspective on both entrepreneurial success and investment based on his successful endeavors in both arenas. He will be featured in the panel discussion taking place on Thursday from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
